North & South Shields CS - 4/1/2015

Thank you to the secretary and committee for inviting me to judge, especially the privilege of judging Best in Show. A well organised show, lovely hospitality and friendly exhibitors.
In addition I had 2 quality line ups for BIS and BPIS. Thank you to my co-judges for putting through some lovely dogs.

BEST IN SHOW - Patterson & Murray’s Bratilda Secret Admirer JW – Chihuahua L/C Lovely 2yr B. Loved her head and expression, super body of good proportions and what a mover. So true coming and going with correct action. She just kept showing and with such attitude that took my eye to win top honours.

RES BEST IN SHOW – Shorer-Wheeler, Wheeler & Gillies’ Ch Arnscroft Dina Mo Farrah of Koromandel JW ShCM – Nor Buhund. This young dog was another to continue to show til the end of the day, just a moment when he and his handler were a little distracted on the move was enough to make that final distinction between these 2 top quality dogs.

BEST PUPPY IN SHOW – Calvert’s Calvdale Costa – English Springer Spaniel. What a gorgeous youngster. Stood out. Lovely head and body, so well made and another one with attitude. So positive yet fluid on the move. A bright future.

RES BEST PUPPY IN SHOW – Sanderson’s Jaktay Cardinal Sins at Jodaseen – Dobermann. This young lady pushed the winner all the way. Just not as positive or fluid on the move as she was earlier in the day.

1^st           Hoggarth’s Whitebarn Tabitha Twitchit. 17mth B. What a lovely girl. Very pretty with a good head shape, darker eye and pleasing expression. Well made in front with good sternum. Well sprung ribs. Lovely rear. Such a good mover with a ‘sassy’ attitude.

1^st           Dolan’s Ermyn Fire And Flame at Roseholm. Mature 4yr B. Lovely shape with a good head. Eye complimenting coat colour nicely and well set ears. Super topline, lovely front and rear angles. Another good mover with a good tail carriage. BOB

1^st Martell’s, Bordertime King of Queens for Dylarn. Lovely 3yr D. Classic outline with a lovely head and dark eye. Ears could have been a bit more mobile on the day. Super head with dark eye and good ears. Lovely outline and in great condition. Well made with lovely angles. Nice high tail well carried. Such a good mover and so well handled by his young handler. They have the makings of an unstoppable team. BAVNSC, Group 1 and Reserve Best in Show.

1^st Bainbridge’s Dheara Kya Wo Kera Herjay – Tib. Mastiff. 2yr upstanding young man presenting a good outline. Large head, broad and with good depth to head and muzzle. Well boned and good feet. Free steady mover.

Working Group Group

1^st           Scott’s Welshbern One Vision at Scobern – Bernese Mountain Dog. For me, this young man stood out in the group. Lovely size and proportions, good head and neck to well laid shoulders. Deep chest through to strong deep loin. Good bone and feet and so free and easy on the move. Pushed hard in BIS

2^nd          Sanderson’s Jaktay Cardinal Sins at Jodaseen – Dobermann. This young lady has a bright future. Lovely size and shape with super topline and underline giving depth and strength of body. Super head, good bone and best feet. Positive on the move. RBPIS

3^rd           Woodhead’s Koromandel Rushin Around - Alaskan Malamute. Good size strong looking bithch yet retaining a femininity. Presents a good shape with pleasing head. Not quite as positive on the move today.

4^th           Bainbridge’s Dheara Kya Wo Kera Herjay - Tib Mastiff

2^nd          Cummings’ Inkomo Untouchable – Newfoundland. What a sweetie. Just fell in love with the shape, head, expression, bone and attitude. Was starting to tire a little but forgiven at the end of a long day.

3^rd           Whitehead’s Jacalous Cold Fusion - Siberian Husky. Nice young mad of good size and shape. Pleasing head with nice eye and good ears. Well made with deep chest and loin. Good mover.

4^th           Young’s Geordieone Masies Pride - Great Dane. This young lady is such a baby but to be expected in this breed at this age. Not the biggest but in proportion and of good shape. Lovely head. Steady mover.
